FEES & HOW WE WORK

Clear Fees Built Around The Work You Actually Need

Immigration matters can differ substantially even where they involve the same route. We therefore define the problem, scope and level of professional support before confirming the fee.

Where a service is sufficiently defined, we normally agree a fixed or value fee in advance. Where scope is genuinely uncertain, open-ended or continuing, we may instead use staged, hybrid, recurring or time-based pricing where that better reflects the engagement.

HOW WE PRICE

A Fair And Transparent Approach To Professional Fees

Our objective is to agree a fair and transparent fee that reflects the professional service being purchased and the responsibility EFC Immigration accepts. The pricing method should be appropriate to the matter rather than imposed mechanically.

01 — DEFINED WORK

Fixed Or Value Fee

Where the objective, deliverables and boundaries can be clearly defined, we normally agree the professional fee before substantive work starts.

02 — COMPLEXITY

Enhanced Or Complex Matters

A matter may require a different fee where the immigration history, evidence, compliance position, urgency, risk or professional responsibility materially increases.

03 — UNCERTAINTY

Staged Or Continuing Work

Where the full scope cannot responsibly be defined at the outset, we may agree stages, a continuing support arrangement or another suitable pricing structure.

DIFFERENT MATTERS — DIFFERENT PRICING NEEDS

Employer And Private-Client Work Are Priced Differently Where Appropriate

FOR UK EMPLOYERS

Business Immigration & Sponsor Support

Employer immigration work is priced around the organisation's objective, sponsor position, compliance burden, evidence quality and the level of support required.

Depending on the engagement, this may involve a defined fixed/value fee, staged work or an ongoing support arrangement.

  • Sponsor licence readiness and application support
  • Worker sponsorship and employer-side Skilled Worker matters
  • Sponsor compliance and assurance work
  • Ongoing sponsor support arrangements, where agreed
  • Defined employer immigration advisory work
FOR INDIVIDUALS & FAMILIES

Standard-Case Reference Fees

We retain published fee ranges as reference points for appropriate standard matters while our value-pricing model is developed. They are not automatic prices for every case.

Family immigration — partner, spouse, fiancé(e) and selected child matters
£1,800–£2,500
Skilled Worker applications — applicant side
£1,500–£3,000
Settlement / ILR and British citizenship / naturalisation
£1,500–£2,250

These are current standard-case reference ranges. The actual fee depends on the agreed scope, facts, evidence and complexity of the individual matter. Where a matter falls outside the standard-case position because of additional complexity, evidence, urgency, risk or required professional input, we will explain this and quote for the appropriate enhanced or complex scope before substantive work begins.

WHAT CAN AFFECT THE FEE?

The Factors We Consider Before Quoting

Scope & Outcome

What you are asking EFC Immigration to achieve and the professional work required to reach the agreed completion point.

Complexity

Immigration history, adverse facts, sponsor issues, previous applications, unusual legal questions or multiple connected issues.

Evidence Quality

Whether the relevant information and documents are complete, organised and consistent or substantial reconstruction is required.

Risk & Responsibility

The professional responsibility involved and the consequences associated with an incomplete or incorrectly handled matter.

Urgency & Timing

Genuine deadlines or accelerated work can affect the resources and professional capacity required to complete the engagement properly.

Service Level

Advice only, assessment and planning, managed preparation, implementation support or continuing advisory involvement represent different levels of professional service.

SCOPE & COST CONTROL

You Should Know What The Fee Covers Before The Work Begins

Our engagement should make clear the work being undertaken, the principal deliverables, assumptions and exclusions. If the matter changes materially, we address the change before undertaking substantial additional work.

Included Work

The agreed service and deliverables are defined so that both EFC Immigration and the client understand the professional work covered by the fee.

Third-Party Costs

Home Office fees, Immigration Health Surcharge, appointment charges, tests, translations, expert reports and other third-party costs are separate unless expressly stated otherwise.

Scope Changes

New facts, substantial additional evidence, unexpected complexity, new work, increased urgency or material third-party developments may require the engagement to be re-scoped and re-priced.

HOW AN ENGAGEMENT BEGINS

From Initial Enquiry To Agreed Scope And Fee

01

Initial Enquiry

We obtain enough information to understand the objective, relevant background, timing and apparent nature of the matter.

02

Assessment

We consider scope, suitability, complexity, evidence and the professional support that appears to be required.

03

Scope & Fee

Where we can accept the matter, the proposed service, assumptions, principal exclusions and professional fee are confirmed.

04

Instruction & Delivery

Once the engagement is agreed and the required onboarding is complete, substantive professional work begins within the agreed scope.

Fair Pricing

Fees are based on genuine differences in scope, complexity, responsibility, urgency, expertise and service level. We do not set professional fees simply by perceived wealth or vulnerability.
